Evolve is a Youth One Stop Shop (YOSS) delivering integrated primary health care and social support services to young people age 10-24 years old in the Wellington region.
Established in 2004 for young people by young people, we work within a youth development framework that emphasises the importance of young people’s connections to their communities, families, schools and peers, and has a focus on fostering resilience and supporting young people to make positive decisions. Youth voice and participation is incorporated in service development and governance ensuring that young people are at the centre.
Evolve’s dedicated team of doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, counsellors, social workers, youth workers and admin staff support over 4,000 young people in the Wellington area. Evolve are committed to providing services that are Connected, Courageous and Equitable. All services we provide are FREE of charge to our young people.
Donations
Evolve is a registered charity with the purpose of “Empowering young people to unleash their potential” through the provision of quality primary health care, counselling and social support within a youth development framework.
At the core, we are government funded which covers our day to day operational costs. We apply for grants to support the work that we do over and above our core funding like our Learner Driver Licence workshops, Youth Hauora Project and Young Parents Programmes. Evolve welcomes donations to support the ongoing delivery of programmes and one off projects like Christmas Food Hampers and Community Christmas Drop-In to support young people who may be disconnected from whanau and friends at this time of the year.
Your donation will help us to continue reducing barriers that young people face when accessing services. Our approach centers on building strength and resilience with young people, helping them to realize their potential.
